About Suzana

Suzana is a Clinical Psychology Registrar with a warm and collaborative approach to therapy. She is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Suzana has completed a degree in Psychological Science with a major in Neuroscience (University of New South Wales) (First Class Honours) and a Master of Clinical Psychology (University of Sydney). Her honours thesis topic was on the long-term impacts of early-life stress and she is passionate about integrating this work into her therapy.

Suzana has experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of research, NGO, university clinics, and inpatient and outpatient hospital settings including Lifeline, The Children’s Hospital Westmead, Royal North Shore Hospital Pain Management Clinic, The University of Sydney Psychology Clinic and Clinical trials for insomnia in women with Breast Cancer.

Suzana has an interest in working with a range of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic physical health issues, sleep disturbances, ADHD, low self-esteem, school, family and work-related stressors and emotional dysregulation. She has a supportive and compassionate approach with her clients and creates a safe space for open communication. Suzana seeks to provide culturally-responsive care and incorporates an understanding of biological factors in her therapy. She aims to empower clients to achieve a better understanding of themselves and create long-lasting positive changes in their lives.

Suzana uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion Focused Therapy in her practice. She is focused on tailoring therapy to individuals based on their needs and goals.

Suzana consults at Bondi Junction on a Wednesday and Thursday.
