Dr Sandra Darmanin

Clinical Psychologist

B. Psych (Hons), MA (Clin), Psy.D, MAPS

Sandra is a clinical psychologist and member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).  She was trained as a clinical psychologist at Berkeley, California and Yale University where she also completed her Doctoral Dissertation on Adult Attachment Styles within a Substance Dependent population.

Sandra has been providing therapy to adult clients for over 15 years and has accumulated a wealth of experience in working with adults with complex presentations. She has a particular expertise in working with adults with a history of substance and alcohol use and also sees clients who need treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma and OCD. Sandra is experienced working with gay and lesbian issues and also has a particular interest in working with stress related issues at work (especially within the Banking/Financial and Advertising industry).

Sandra is trained in psychodynamic therapy in particular attachment and object relations. She specialises  in attachment therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema focused therapy, relapse prevention and motivation interviewing.

Sandra is an Honorary Associate at the University of Sydney and is an approved Supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia. She is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
